Accessibility
Golf Better is committed to making both our website and mobile app usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. Accessibility is part of our privacy-first, people-first approach — not an afterthought.
Our goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for this website, and to follow the Apple and Google platform accessibility guidelines in the Golf Better mobile app. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to improve.
What we've done on this website
- Semantic, structured HTML with proper headings and landmarks.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
- A color palette chosen to meet AA contrast on our dark theme.
- Keyboard-operable navigation with a visible focus indicator.
- Respect for your "reduce motion" setting — background and decorative animation is disabled when you ask your device to minimize motion.
- Responsive layouts that work on small screens and when text is enlarged.
In the app
The Golf Better app is built to support your device's accessibility features, including dynamic text sizing, screen readers (VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android), and reduce-motion settings, with high-contrast, legible typography throughout.
Known limitations
Some content — such as the interactive scorecard and certain data visualizations — can be harder to use with some assistive technologies. We are actively working to improve these areas and welcome your feedback.
